Earthquake struck the western part of Afghanistan on Saturday at around 12:11 pm, the National Centre for Seismology said. A 6.1 magnitude earthquake was reported at 12:11 pm. The epicentre of the seismic activity has been identified as 40 kilometres northwest of the city of Herat. No reports of damages to properties or injuries have emerged so far.
