David Warner, who was removed as Australia’s vice-captain after the ball-tampering scandal, has found himself in yet another controversy. The left-handed batsman reportedly was seen ‘enjoying’ champagne with his non-cricket friends at the team hotel. And it his not gone well with rest of teammates who are already stressed out following the ball-tampering incident. According to a Fox Sports report, teammates now want Warner out of team hotel to avoid any ‘incident’ with him if he stays on. The report further states that Warner also removed himself from the team’s WhatsApp group during the ball-tampering crises.

Not just this, as per a Sydney Morning Herald report, Warner is emerging as "the central character" in the ball-tampering scandal. Meanwhile, it is widely reported that Darren Lehmann could quit as coach of the Australian team. There have been reports of Steve Smith and Warner facing life ban as well.

Meanwhile, Smith was handed one-match ban by ICC after he along with Cameron Bancroft admitted to have tampered with the ball. Bancroft, who was fined 75 per cent of his match fee, was caught on camera rubbing a yellow substance during day three’s play of Cape Town Test.

It will be interesting to see whether Warner is picked for the fourth Test or not, which starts on March 30. Meanwhile, opener Matthew Renshaw has been added to Australia’s squad for the final Test and is all set to replace Smith.
