Dimuth Karunaratne has been appointed as the captain of the Sri Lanka ODI team ahead of ICC Cricket World Cup 2019. Sri Lanka's national selectors picked the batsman for the job of captaincy and Karunaratne will lead the Sri Lankan cricket team in the all crucial 2019 ICC Cricket World Cup that will be played in England and Wales. Sri Lanka is yet to declare their squad for the 2019 Cricket World Cup. The World Cup is beginning from May 30 and the final will be played on July 14 at the Mecca of Cricket, the Lord's cricket ground.
