The first edition of Euro T20 Slam is creating a buzz among cricket fans. The tournament is a joint collaboration of Cricket Ireland, Cricket Scotland, and Netherland Cricket Board, known as KNCB (Koninklijke Nederlandse Cricket Bond). This is the first intercontinental cricket tournament with six city-based franchises. In Euro T20 Slam, two teams are from Ireland, two from Netherlands and two from Scotland. Amsterdam Knights (Ireland), Belfast Titans (Ireland), Dublin Chiefs (The Netherlands), Edinburgh Rocks (The Netherlands), Glasgow Giants (Scotland) and Rotterdam Rhinos (Scotland) are the six teams participating in the tournament. Euro T20 Slam 2019: Rotterdam Rhinos Team Appoints Herschelle Gibbs As Head Coach. 

Euro T20 Slam 2019 will begin from August 30, 2019 and will conclude on September 22, 2019. A total of 33 matches are going to be played during the tournament. The three cricket stadiums which will be hosting the matches are VRA Cricket Academy, Amsterdam in the Netherlands, The Grange Club, Edinburgh in Scotland and Malahide Cricket Club, Dublin in Ireland. Shaheen Afridi, Fakhar Zaman Among Players to Feature in Euro T20 Slam Players Draft. 

Icon Players and Marquee Players

Earlier, Rashid Khan, Brendon McCullum, Eoin Morgan Shahid Afridi, Martin Guptill, and Shane Watson were announced as the six icon players of the tournament. Six marquee players for the tournament include Babar Azam, JP Duminy, Chris Lynn, Luke Ronchi, Dale Steyn and Imran Tahir.

Rules and Regulation

According to the rules and regulations for the squad for Euro T20 Slam, all squads should consist of 16 members. There will be a minimum of 9 domestic players in the squad of each franchise. The number of foreign players or international players cannot exceed 7. The playing 11 of a team must include at least 6 domestic players and maximum 5 foreign players. Each team will play two matches with each other teams, facing them at their home in one match and on the opponent's home in the other match.

The full squad of the six teams have not been announced so far. But here are some of the players who are part of the team as of now.

Amsterdam Knights: Imran Tahir, Shane Watson, Ben Cutting, Ahmed Shehzad, Hasan Ali, Sikandar Raza, Alzarri Joseph, Varun Chopra, Saad Bin Zafar.

Dublin Chiefs: Babar Azam, Eoin Morgan, Mohammad Amir, Harry Gurney, Dan Christian, Robert Frylinck, Corbin Bosch.

Belfast Titans: Shahid Afridi, JP Duminy, Mohammad Nawaz, Luke Wright, Colin Ingram, Mitchell McClenaghan, Aaron Summers, Mohammad Ilyas.

Dublin Chiefs: Babar Azam, Eoin Morgan, Mohammad Amir, Harry Gurney, Dan Christian, Robert Frylinck, Corbin Bosch.

Edinburgh Rocks: Martin Guptill, Chris Lynn, Corey Anderson, Matt Henry, Tymal Mills, Tabraiz Shamsi, Anton Devcich, Waqar Salamkheil, Dwaine Pretorius.

Glasgow Giants: Brendon McCullum, Dale Steyn, Ravi Bopara, Usman Shinwari, Moises Henriques, Qais Ahmad, Heinrich Klaasen, JJ Smuts.

Rotterdam Rhinos: Rashid Khan, Luke Ronchi, Fakhar Zaman, Samit Patel, Shaheen Afridi, Hardus Viljoen, Peter Trego, Anwar Ali.
