India’s 2011- World cup winning spinner Harbhajan Singh has made a shocking revelation about two of India’s best cricketers. The off-spinner claimed that VVS Laxman and Gautam Gambhir ended their career on a dreadful note and also bashed Indian cricket for not ‘respecting’ their big players. Laxman bid adieu to international cricket in 2012 after a disastrous tour of Australia. While Gambhir announced his retirement from all forms of cricket in 2018 after continuously being out of favour from the national side. Earlier, Yuvraj Singh also slammed the Indian selectors for not having proper communication with the players and nor the spinner’s claim has added another chapter. The 39-year old made these statements at the Agenda AajTak 2019 event and revealed many significant things. According to the Punjab-born cricketer, many players from India’s 2011 World Cup could have played the 2015 edition of the tournament too but were ignored by the selection panel. The out of favour spinner also expressed his agony towards the ‘agenda’ of the board of leaving the senior players behind despite their good performances.

The offiie, who played his last international game back in 2016, also said that these things are happening in Indian cricket since long and it still continues. He also insisted the authorities to respect the players who took the Indian cricket forward rather than side-lining them.

He will be next seen in action during the 2020 edition of the Indian Premier League where he is all set to represent the Chennai Super Kings. The cricket hasn’t announced his international retirement yet and it will be interesting to see, how he will perform in the upcoming tournament.
