With India and Pakistan not playing bilateral cricket, the excitement levels and craze hit the roof whenever the archrivals take on each other in International Cricket Council (ICC) and Asian Cricket Council (ACC) events. The first of quite a few India vs Pakistan cricket matches saw fans of both teams leaving home disappointed after rain had played spoilsport in Kandy on September 2. Only one innings was possible as rain called off play at the Pallekele International Cricket Stadium. However, on expected lines, India have qualified for the Super Four stage and will now once again meet Pakistan, this time on September 10. Sadly though, there's a rain threat hovering over this game as well. Rain Likely to Play Spoilsport in India vs Pakistan Asia Cup 2023 Super Four Match in Colombo.

But there's some good news for fans if rain plays spoilsport in this India vs Pakistan match as well. According to a report in OneCricket, the India vs Pakistan Super Four match in Asia Cup 2023 is set to have a reserve day, as has been decided by the ACC. The high-octane contest will be played at the R Premadasa Stadium in Colombo and the Sri Lankan capital has been receiving a lot of heavy rainfall in the last few days. Moreover, there's a forecast for rain on September 10 as well. If it rains, then the India vs Pakistan match will take place on the reserve day (September 11). Not just the match against Pakistan but India's second and last group match against Nepal too was interrupted by downpour. However, the rain gods were kind enough towards the fans who least got to watch the match finish, with India chasing down a revised target in little time. Earlier, reports circulated stating that the matches scheduled to be held in Colombo would be shifted to Hambantota but the ACC confirmed that the Super Four matches were set to be held as per schedule with no change in venue.
