India hosts West Indies for the three-match T20 International series beginning from December 06. India defeated Bangladesh in their last T20I series while West Indies faced 2-1 defeat against Afghanistan in their last assignment in the game’s shortest format. With ICC T20 World Cup 2020 scheduled in October next year, teams are preparing for the big event well in advance. As per India vs West Indies 2019 schedule, the first T20I takes place at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Hyderabad. The second and third T20Is will be held in Thiruvananthapuram and Mumbai respectively.

India comes into the series as the fifth-ranked team in T20Is while West Indies is placed on the tenth spot. Interestingly, even if India manages to beat West Indies 3-0, there won’t be any change in their position on the ICC T20I rankings. Rohit Sharma Wishes Happy Unfriendship Day to Kieron Pollard After West Indies All-Rounder Unfollows Him on Twitter.

Meanwhile, as India and West Indies get ready to face-off in an exciting three-match T20I series, we bring to you some records and stats from the past.

Windies, on the other hand, have won, five games. One match between the two sides produced no result as the game was abandoned due to rain. In India, the two sides have met four times in T20Is with the home team emerging victorious thrice.

2- Highest/lowest total in T20Is in India: Afghanistan’s record total of 278/3 against Ireland came at Dehradun, their makeshift home venue.
