IPL 2020 auction is set to take place on December 19 this year and all the teams have released the final list of released, retained and traded players. All the teams i.e. Chennai Super Kings, Delhi Capitals, Kings XI Punjab, Kolkata Knight Riders, Mumbai Indians, Rajasthan Royals, Royal Challengers Bangalore and Sunrisers Hyderabad have released the player extension contract, deadline of which ended on Friday (November 15). CSK retained the most number of players 20 while RCB retained the least number of players 13. A total of 127 players were retained by the eight franchises. Royal Challengers released the most number of players 12 while Sunrisers Hyderabad have released the least number of five players from their squad. After the announcement of player extension contract for IPL 2020, Kings XI Pubjab have the highest salary cap available at 42.70 crore while Mumbai Indians have the lowest 13.5 crore. RCB have the highest number of player slots available with 12 while CSK have least with five. Now, a total of 73 slots are available for the teams of which 29 are reserved for foreign players. The Vijay Hazare 2019-20 has brought many young cricketers into limelight and franchises will look to opt for the best possible players. Franchise RCB, who had a devastating season in IPL 2019, will look to build up a strong team for IPL 2020 under the captainship of Virat Kohli.
