KL Rahul was unbeaten on 101 runs as India cruised to victory with eight wickets in hand. KL Rahul's classy knock ensured that the Indian team cantered to overcome the target without any hiccups in the run-chase. In his fine knock of 101 runs, KL Rahul hit ten fours and five sixes, much to the delight of Indian fans present in the Old Trafford Stadium, in Manchester. The cover drives, inside-out lofted shots, stepping down the pitch, a reverse-sweep, and hitting the ball over the third-man and fine-leg region with ease – KL Rahul’s innings had a bit of everything!

Captain Kohli sprung a surprise with no Suresh Raina or himself coming to bat at number 3 position. It was KL Rahul who turned up when India lost Dhawan in the first over.
