Captain Cole McConchie also played a fine knock of 49 runs from 25 deliveries. This win lifts Canterbury from the bottom of the table but a playoff spot still looks like a long shot. This feat makes Carter the fourth batter to achieve this milestone in T20 cricket but Yuvraj Singh remains the only player to hit six 6s in an international T20 game when he smashed Stuart Broad during the inaugural T20 World Cup in 2007.
