The wicket of MS Dhoni in the final of VIVO IPL 2019 during the Mumbai Indians (MI) vs Chennai Super Kings (CSK) match has divided cricket fans and CSK supporters in particular. But first, a quick recap of what led to the dismissal of MS Dhoni, Chennai Super Kings Thala in Sunday's final at Hyderabad. Chasing 150 to win, Shane Watson was facing Hardik Pandya in the 13th over. Watson tried to pull a shot ball, but failed to connect and Dhoni and Watson run a single. However, the ball went to Malinga who conceded an overthrow.
This is when Dhoni looked to steal a double. However, Ishan Kishan took a shot at the stumps and dislodged the bails. The decision was referred to the third umpire, and Dhoni was declared OUT in a very tight call. Watch the video of his dismissal here.
