It all went down to the last ball between Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) and Chennai Super Kings (CSK) at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru. CSK needed two runs to win from the last ball with MS Dhoni on strike. The right-hander, however, missed the last ball and while trying to steal a single, Shardul Thakur, who was running towards the striker’s end, was run-out after Parthiv Patel’s direct hit. The wicketkeeper’s direct hit handed RCB a famous win. RCB vs CSK Highlights IPL 2019: Parthiv Patel's Direct Hit Hands Royal Challengers Bangalore Famous Win.

Umesh Yadav was handed the responsibly to bowl the last over. Needing 26 off it, Dhoni picked a four on the first ball and then on next two balls, the CSK captain smashed Umesh for two back to back sixes.

The 16 runs from the first three balls brought the equation down to ten off last three deliveries. Dhoni managed to take a double on the fourth ball and then on the penultimate he smashed Umesh for one more six. With two required off the last ball, it appeared Dhoni had it covered. However, the match swung decisively in favour of RCB after Dhoni failed to make a connection and Parthiv Patel’s direct hit denied CSK one run. Dale Steyn Hands Suresh Raina Golden Duck During RCB vs CSK IPL 2019 Match, Watch Video Highlights.
