Shardul Thakur was at his absolute best as he dismissed three Sri Lankan batsman in his final over of the match. de Silva, Isru Udana and skipper Lasith Malinga were the three players who fell victim to Thakur’s brilliance. Speaking of the match, Jasprit Bumrah had a fine comeback to international cricket as his dismissal of Dasun Shanaka made him the highest wicket-taker for India in T20Is – tied with Ravi Ashwin and Yuzvendra Chahal on 52 wickets. The visitors got some momentum in the final over as Hasaranga smashed Bumrah for three consecutive boundaries and those 12 runs could be very important in the final outcome of the match.
