The Indian cricket team has just finished playing the practice match with Essex at Chelmsford. The practice match ended up with a draw as India scored 89/2 in the second innings. This practice match is touted as a preparatory game for India. The guests will play five test games against England. It is quite obvious that the team is taking the match seriously. But, this does not stop the players from having fun on the ground. A couple of days ago we told you that the Indian batsmen were welcomed to the ground on the beats of bhangra. The practice continued even on the last day when India got on to the field.

The beats of the dhol were so peppy that the Indian cricket captain Virat Kohli and opener Shikhar Dhawan could not stop themselves from grooving to the tunes. The official account of Essex shared the video of the two dancing to the beats of dhol. “Two @BCCI players have enjoyed their time at Chelmsford! Well played, @imVkohli & @SDhawan25! 👏👏👏 #ESSvIND,” captioned the video. Watch the video below.

The practice match was supposed to last for four days but then was cut down to three due to the condition of the pitch. It was even said that the Indians were unhappy with the same. But coach, Ravi Shastri dismissed the reports and addressed the media ahead of the game. He said, “It was decided yesterday (during practice). We had a chat (with Essex authorities) and once they explained how they had sold tickets and everything. We were quite happy to play even a two-day game and use that one extra day for practice here. But they said tickets and all that, so we said okay, 'we will play a three-day game'.”
