The Indian cricket captain could be the first Indian to have scored 9,000 runs in the T20Is. Captain Kohli is just 205 runs away from becoming the first-ever Indian to get 9,000 runs in T20s. The Indian cricket captain has so far made 2689 runs in the shortest format of the game with the highest score of 94 runs. In 77 matches, Virat Kohli batted an average of 52.73. The Indian skipper so far has not scored a single century in the T20Is. As of now, Kohli has scored 2,689 runs in T20Is in just 78 matches at a strike rate of 138.53. Virat Kohli is chasing yet another record in the five-match T20I series as he is just 81 runs from surpassing MS Dhoni. The former Indian captain has scored 1,112 runs in the T20Is as the skipper of India, whereas Kohli has 1,032 runs in the shortest format of the game. The right-hander will be looking forward to breaking a plethora of records. The first game between India and New Zealand will be held on January 24, 2020.
