With this, he became the youngest player to net a goal and scripted a record in golden letters. He went on to beat Marc Muniesa who earlier held this record. Ansu is just 16 years and 318 days old and the video of his assist and goal went viral on social media. Benzema Brilliance Inspires Real, Fati Lights Up Barca.

Here’s a tweet by Barcelona

Barcelona boss Ernesto Valverde said, “There’s going to be a lot of hype with Ansu -- a lot. What we have to do is try and keep it down. Our job is to protect the player. But there’s no denying Ansu is a player who has something special. He seems much more mature than his age. We saw things [against Valencia] that we see in training.” With this, Barcelona leapt to number four on the La Lia 2019-20 points table.
