Bengaluru FC and NorthEast United Play Out Goalless Draw in ISL 2019–20 Clash, Sunil Chhetri Misses to Score

Bengaluru FC and NorthEast United ISL match ended in a tie after both the teams were unable to score during the match. The Indian Super League season 6 clash also suffered heavy rains in the end, however, players kept on playing the game. Both the teams won 1 point each after the match and follow Kerala Blasters FC on the points table. Bengaluru were able to hit 14 shots on goals, out of which 2 were on target. On the other hand, NorthEast United attempted 10 shots, out of which only 1 went on target. However, all the goal attempts were successfully saved by both the teams. In goal possession, hosts Bengaluru were better than with 64 per cent against NorthEast United's 36 per cent.


On the 94th minute of the game, Corner for Bengaluru arose some hopes but NorthEast United defended it well. The corner resulted after a deep throw-in for NorthEast witnessed Sunil Chhetri trying a cycle kick, and almost takes off the head of Martin Chaves. Four additional minutes were allotted to the game but made no change to the match results, which ended in a draw. The ISL Emerging Player of the Match was given to Nishu Kumar. The Limitless Player of the Match Award was awarded to Asamoah Gyan. The 'Club Award' was shared by both the team captains.

In the opening match, Kerala Blasters defeated ATK 2-1 to win and earned 3 points. On Tuesday. Jamshedpur FC will take on Delhi Dynamos in ISL match. The tournament started on October 20 (Sunday) and will end on March 8 next year.
