Mohamed Salah and Egypt fans have fingers crossed over the fitness of their football star. Salah during the Champions League final between Real Madrid and Liverpool suffered a shoulder injury that put him in doubt for the 2018 FIFA World Cup, which starts on June 14 in Russia. Since then (May 26) the Liverpool striker is on the road to recovery. Earlier, it was reported that Salah could take three-four weeks to recover, but the footballer, it seems, will be fit ahead of the stipulated time.

In a positive development, Egypt forward showed signs of recovery as he hit the gym. He took to Twitter to post a picture of himself working out at the gym and captioned the post as "Good feelings…"

Meanwhile, Salah was included in Egypt’s 23-man squad for the World Cup. With Salah’s inclusion, Egypt will be hopeful that the star features in their opening game against Uruguay on June 15. However, chances are he will miss Egypt’s first match of the tournament. Egypt then takes on hosts Russia on June 19 and in their final group stage match they will face-off Saudi Arabia on June 25.

Salah was instrumental in handing Egypt the World Cup ticket. Egypt defeated Congo 2-1 last year in October to make it to the World Cup for the first time since 1990. Salah in that match scored both the goals for Egypt, including a 95th-minute penalty.
