Real Madrid Crashes Out of Champions League 2018-19 After Losing to Ajax; Carles Puyol, Luis Suarez Troll Los Blancos

Last night in the Champions League 2018-19 contest between Real Madrid and Ajax, Los Blancos suffered an embarrassing defeat by 1-4 and 5-3 on aggregate. The match was played at the Santiago Bernabéu Stadium Real Madrid who walked away with the trophy last year, crashed out of the tournament and left the fans shell-shocked.  Barcelona former legends Carles Puyol and current forward Luis Suarez have trolled the club after he suffered a humiliating defeat. Real Madrid's European Reign Ends with Shock Loss to Ajax by 1-4.

Puyol who retired from football in 2014 posted a series of tweets trolling Real Madrid. The ex-captain of the Catalan club wrote: "OMG," alongside celebratory and shocked emojis. He then also congratulated the Dutch club for their historic triumph over the most successful club in the history of the Champions League. “Congratulations to @AFCAjax, not only for winning a team like the @realmadrid but for how the way they did it”, the tweet read.

Luiz Suarez also posted a tweet and wrote, “Congratulations, I have always been a fan of Ajax," he tweeted.

Los Blancos' Nacho admitted that this was their most embarrassing defeat. "This is historic for Ajax. Almost nobody believed in us, not even the experts, but 4,000 fans did", said the Ajax boss. “We’re out of a competition where we’ve been kings for a very long time," said Nacho. With this, Ajax sealed a berth in the quarter-finals of the Champions League for the first time since 2003.
