Zlatan Ibrahimovic and LeBron James have been involved in a war of words ever since the AC Milan forwards hit out the LA Lakers star for getting involved in ‘political issues’ away from their game. The Basketball icon had warned the veteran footballer that ‘he is the wrong guy to go at’ after the Swede’s comments. However, Ibrahimovic has stirred the pot even further, responding to James’ remarks. Mia Khalifa Blasts Zlatan Ibrahimovic Over His ‘Stick to Sports’ Remark for LeBron James.

Following Zlatan Ibrahimovic’s comments, LeBron accused the footballer of showing double standards, referencing when the Swede was outspoken on racism in his homeland. However, the AC Milan forward has now come out and said that the Los Angeles Lakers star has missed his point completely. Zlatan Ibrahimovic Injury Update: AC Milan Forward Set To Miss Manchester United Europa League Clash With Thigh Issue.

‘Racism and politics are two different things. We athletes unite the world, politics divides the world,’ Ibrahimovic told the media in a recent interview. ‘Everyone is welcome, it has nothing to do with where you are from, we do what we do to unite,’ he added.

‘We don’t do other things because we are not good at it, otherwise, I would be in politics. That’s my message. Athletes must be athletes, politicians must be politicians,’ Zlatan Ibrahimovic explained further.

Unsurprisingly, Zlatan Ibrahimovic received a lot of flack for his initial comments as many criticised the Swedish footballer and among them was Mia Khalifa. Taking to Twitter, Khalifa shared pictures of the AC Milan forwards advertising TVs. ‘Please stick to sports, not selling us TVs. Can you even build a TV? Then you can't use your status to sell TVs,’ she said.
