Since morning there have been reports about the alleged rift between the Kings XI Punjab owner Preity Zinta and mentor Virender Sehwag after the team lost against Rajasthan Royals. The news was reported by Mumbai Mirror. According to the report, it was said that Preity questioned Sehwag for the tactics used against RR and blamed him for the loss. This angered Sehwag but he kept cool.
But now Preity Zinta took to Twitter and rubbished the reports. She said that a conversation between her and Sehwag was blown out of proportion. Slamming the newspaper she wrote, āMumbai Mirror gets it wrong again because we didnāt do Media net & pay them to write articles cuz thatās the only time they get it right. A conversation between Viru & me has been blown out of proportion & suddenly Iām a Villian ! Wow ! #fakenews.ā

Sehwag once again is yet to comment on the same. According to the report, Preity was angry because the team decided to send Ravichandran Ashwin on number 3 ahead of Karun Nair and Manoj Tiwari. Even before the players could retire to their changing room, Preity reportedly went on to Sehwag and questioned the tactics used against RR. āViru had told the other owners to rein in Preity. He told the owners that heāll not comment on Preityās acting chops and she should refrain from talking about his cricketing acumen,ā a source told Mumbai Mirror. The report even said that Viru could discontinue his association with the team. Talking about the team, KXIP is currently on position 3 of the IPL 2018 Points Table.
