Asus India is all set to launch the new ROG Phone 2 in the Indian market today. The upcoming ROG Phone 2 will be the latest gaming device from the Taiwanese electronic giant. As a reminder, the gaming smartphone was unveiled earlier this year in July. The main underlines of the new Asus ROG Phone 2 are Qualcomm Snapdragon 855+ SoC, up to 12GB of RAM, 120Hz AMOLED display, massive 6,000mAh battery and much more. Asus India will also be broadcasting the India launch event of ROG Phone 2 from the venue. The live webcast of ROG Phone 2 will be streamed on Asus India's official YouTube channel. The fans can also watch the event live on Asus India's official Facebook account. The launch event of Asus ROG Phone 2 will commence from 12:30PM IST onwards.

On the specification front, the new Asus ROG Phone 2 will sport a 6.59-inch FHD+ AMOLED 120Hz HDR display with resolution of 1080x2340 pixels. Under the hood, the gaming phone will be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 855+ chipset, which will be mated with up to 12GB of RAM. The smartphone will also come with a dual rear camera setup comprising of 48MP + 13MP sensors. The phone will also be equipped with 24MP sensor upfront. The handset will be backed by a massive 6000 mAh battery with Quick Charge 4.0. Additionally, the phone will also sport dual-front facing speakers and an in-display fingerprint sensor. The phone will run on Android 9 Pie with ROG UI skin on the top.

On the pricing front, the gaming smartphone is priced at CNY 3,499 (around Rs. 35,000) for the 8GB RAM + 128GB version. The 12GB RAM + 128GB storage version costs CNY 5,999 (approximately roughly Rs. 60,000). On the other hand, the Ultimate Edition of ROG Phone 2 with 12GB RAM + 1TB storage was introduced in Europe at EUR 1,199 (around Rs. 95,000). However, the regular version of ROG Phone 2 with 12GB RAM + 512GB storage costs EUR 899 (approximately Rs. 71,400).
