Asus India is all set to launch the highly awaited Asus ROG Phone today at an event in India. The much awaited smartphone will be Asus’ flagship model, which be a gaming smartphone. This gaming and performance oriented smartphone is built on Taiwanese manufacturer’s Republic of Gamers brand that is popular for its series of gaming laptops and accessories. The Taiwanese smartphone making will be live streaming the launch event of Asus ROG Phone at official YouTube channel. Talking more about the gaming phone, it will be sold exclusively via Flipkart in the Indian market. Moreover, the company will also be aiming for a competitive price point and it is expected to be in-line with company’s strategy and focus for the domestic market. On the specification front, the new Asus ROG Phone sports 6-inch FHD+ AMOLED display with an aspect ratio of 18:9 along with thick bezels on the top as well as bottom. Powering the gaming smartphone will be Qualcomm’s flagship chipset – Snapdragon 845 chipset. Moreover, the octa-core SoC will be mated up to 8GB of RAM as well as 512GB on inbuilt storage.

Asus’ flagship model will be packed with a massive 4000 mAh battery along with company’s HyperCharge technology that is claimed to charge the phone from zero to 60 percent in just 33 minutes. Moreover, the company claims that the phone can deliver battery life of up to seven hours with WiFi gaming. In terms of optics, the upcoming Asus ROG phone comes with dual camera module at the rear, which comprises of 12MP primary sensor along with 8MP secondary sensor with LED flash light. Supporting face unlock and fingerprint sensor, the phone also gets two USB Type-C port (one at the bottom and one on the side).

Moreover, the company will also be offering bunch of new accessories like gaming controller, mobile desktop dock, TwinView Dock and much more. The company will be revealing the prices for the phone today at an event.
