The wait for the OnePlus 6T smartphone will come to an end today. OnePlus is set to host an event in New York today, which will see the roll out of the much awaited OnePlus 6T flagship. The event will kick start at 11 AM EDT (8.30 PM IST) and will be live streamed on the official YouTube channel. The company will be announcing the prices for the phone today followed by India launch, which is slated to happen tomorrow in New Delhi. There has several reports in the past citing various rumours and speculations regarding the specifications and features. A new market report claims that OnePlus 6T will feature an improved front camera, which will be a considerable upgrade than OnePlus 6. The front camera is claimed to be a 20MP Sony Sensor with f/1.7 aperture. The report also claims that the OnePlus 6T will get Corning Gorilla Glass 6 protection. On the specification front, the phone will feature a 6.4-inch optic AMOLED display with a waterdrop display and 2340x1080 pixels of resolutions. Adding new features to the smartphone, the company has confirmed that OnePlus 6T will feature in-display fingerprint sensor. Powering the smartphone will be the same Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 chipset that will be clubbed with Adreno 630 GPU. For optics, the new OnePlus 6T will carry the same dual camera module featuring 20MP primary and 16MP secondary sensors. The camera setup will be capable of recording 4k videos at 30fps along with slow motion videos(1080p) at 240 fps. Coming to storage, the company is expected to dump the base variant - 64GB, which was available on OnePlus 6. The smartphone is expected to be offered in 3 variants - 6GB/128GB, 8GB/128GB and 8GB/256GB. Ensuring more battery backup, the company will be incorporating a bigger 3700 mAh battery. It will run on the latest Android 9.0 Pie OS out of the box. The phone will also ditch the traditional 3.5mm headphone jack, which was seen on OnePlus 6.
