After launching the OnePlus 7T in India, the Chinese smartphone maker will be launching the new OnePlus 7T Series in London on October 10, 2019. The phone maker is also expected to launch a special edition of the OnePlus 7T Series which could be the new McLaren Edition. As a reminder, the company collaborated with McLaren last year to launch the OnePlus 6T McLaren Edition. To keep the trend going, the phone maker might introduce the new OnePlus 7T Pro McLaren Edition. Moreover, the OnePlus CEO Pete Lau has confirmed that the smartphone in the pipeline. It is also speculated that the smartphone could make debut at OnePlus' launch event on October 10. The CEO teased an image of a retail box via Twitter that reveals a carbon fibre pattern as well as signature-style orange outline, which is in-line with the OnePlus 6T McLaren edition. Moreover, Lau also replied to YouTuber Marques Brownlee (aka MKBHD) in the comments section giving enough indication about the smartphone. These indications are enough to speculate that the OnePlus 7T Pro McLaren edition is undoubtedly coming. However, the CEO didn't reveal which smartphone will receive McLaren treatment- the OnePlus 7T or forthcoming OnePlus 7T Pro that remains a question.
Going by the recent rumours and leaks, it is believed that the OnePlus 7T Pro could be the right candidate for receiving the McLaren edition. And, the company could be eyeing for the October 10 launch event as the perfect stage for launching the same on October 10. As a reminder, the render images of the OnePlus 7T Pro McLaren Edition were leaked online earlier this month. The picture revealed that the smartphones would be seen with the frosted glass and orange accents similar to the OnePlus 6T McLaren Edition. The smartphone will also carry the McLaren logo at the back. Moreover, the overall design of the McLaren Edition reportedly will look similar to the OnePlus 7T Pro with a curved display and a pop-up selfie camera. More details about the smartphone are likely to be revealed in the coming days.
