The Chinese smartphone giant, Xiaomi, has officially launched a new colour variant of Redmi Note 8 in the China market. The newest colour addition comes in Nebula Purple shade, which is available in India with a different colour called - Cosmic Purple. As far as the home market is concerned, the phone was launched with three shades - Neptune Blue, Moonlight White and Space Black. Last Month, Xiaomi launched the Redmi Note 8 Series in India that are already available for purchase via flash sales. Notably, the ‘Cosmic Purple’ colour variant is yet to go on sale. The new Xiaomi Redmi Note 8 and Redmi Note 8 Pro are available via Amazon India and official Mi site. Xiaomi Redmi Note 8 is offered in 2 variants - 4GB RAM + 64GB storage & 6GB RAM + 128GB storage. The former is priced at Rs 9,999 whereas the latter costs Rs 12,999.

On the specification front, the Redmi Note 8 smartphone comes with a 6.2-inch LCD display with FHD+ resolution. The phone is powered by Qualcomm's popular Snapdragon 665 SoC clubbed with up to 6GB of RAM and up to 128GB of internal space. For optics, the phone sports a quad rear camera module at the rear. The setup comprises of a 48MP primary lens, an 8MP ultra-wide sensor, a 2MP macro sensor and a 2MP depth sensor.
