According to Thibodeaux, she was at the launch site when the balloon struck a parked vehicle during takeoff. The unexpected incident unfolded just as she and her son were considering booking a ride of their own. "I was shocked. I thought, 'There's no way I just saw this happen.' It's like something I would see on social media!" Thibodeaux said.
