OPPO India has officially announced the upcoming launch of the OPPO F33 Series, scheduled to debut exclusively in the Indian market on April 15. Positioned as a major leap for the mid-range segment, the new series prioritises high-end imaging and industrial design, introducing an industry-leading 50MP ultra-wide front camera and a unibody "cold-carved" build. The F33 Series is designed to address the growing demand for versatile mobile photography and durable, premium aesthetics among India’s younger consumers.
Oppo Redefining the Selfie Experience With F33 Series
The centrepiece of the OPPO F33 Pro is its 50MP Ultra-Wide Front Camera, which features a segment-best 100° Field of View. Utilising the GC50F6 sensor, the camera captures 30 per cent more area than previous models, making it ideal for group photos and expansive backgrounds. To simplify group photography, OPPO has introduced the AI Groupfie Expert system. This includes a smart "Auto-Switch" feature that automatically widens the frame to 0.6x when more than two people are detected. Additionally, a dedicated distortion correction algorithm ensures that up to six faces can be captured simultaneously without the "stretching" effect often seen at the edges of wide-angle lenses.
Advanced Rear Imaging and AI Lighting
The photography suite is rounded out by a 50MP main rear camera (OV50D40 sensor) and a 2MP depth sensor. New creative features include:
- AI Portrait Glow: A first for the F Series, this system applies real-time lighting styles - such as Natural, Rim, and Studio light - to ensure well-lit portraits in challenging backlit or low-light conditions.
- Colourful Front Fill Light: Instead of a traditional harsh white flash, this system uses soft, adjustable multi-colour light to complement skin tones during night selfies.
- Popout Mode: A new creative tool that allows users to layer photos so subjects appear to "break out" of the frame, creating a 3D effect without external editing.
Precision Engineering and 'Cold Carving' in Oppo F33 Series
The F33 Pro introduces a significant design shift with the Starry Sea Lens Module, featuring two bold lenses in a clean vertical stack. The device's back cover is engineered from a 1.5mm polymer sheet - three times the thickness of standard covers - offering enhanced drop resistance compared to traditional glass. OPPO is also debuting its integrated cold sculpting technology, utilising 40,000 RPM high-speed CNC precision carving to create a seamless, high-gloss camera platform on a matte, soft-touch body. The phone remains remarkably slim and lightweight at 194g, housing a 6.57-inch flat AMOLED display. OnePlus Nord 6 Battery Details.
Oppo F33 Series Pricing and Market Availability
While official pricing will be confirmed on April 15, industry leaks suggest the series will be positioned in the INR 25,000 to INR 35,000 price bracket. The F33 Pro will be available in three distinct finishes:
- Misty Forest: Featuring a 3D layered coating that mimics pine silhouettes in mist.
- Starry Blue: A premium finish with subtle metallic shine.
- Passion Red: A high-energy, reflective metallic finish.
The device is expected to ship with Android 16-based ColorOS 16, a 7,000mAh battery, and 80W SUPERVOOC fast charging, marking it as a strong contender in the competitive sub-INR 35,000 segment.
