Tecno is gearing up to introduce its latest 5G offering, the Tecno Spark 50s 5G, in India on October 16, 2026, at 12:00 PM IST. This new smartphone will join the existing Spark 50 5G and other Spark 50 series models, further solidifying Tecno's presence in the budget-friendly 5G segment in the Indian market. The company has begun its teaser campaign, highlighting key design elements ahead of the official unveiling. GSMArena reported about it.
Design and Aesthetics
The Tecno Spark 50s 5G is poised to bring a fresh aesthetic to the Spark lineup. Official teasers reveal a slim profile and a notably redesigned horizontal rear camera module, departing from previous designs in the series. Tecno has confirmed two distinct colour options for the device: a deep, saturated Burgundy Red and a lighter, reflective Breeze Blue. The brand emphasizes a focus on in-hand comfort and a durable finish, aiming for a contemporary design that resonates with mainstream users for long-term daily use. OnePlus Ace 7 Tipped To Feature Active Dual-Airflow Cooling System, Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5.
Expected Specifications
While the full technical specifications for the Tecno Spark 50s 5G will be officially disclosed during the launch event, industry observers and early listings suggest several key features, potentially mirroring some aspects of its predecessor. The smartphone is widely expected to be powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 6400 chipset, offering robust 5G connectivity and performance. Users can anticipate a large 6.78-inch HD+ IPS LCD display with a smooth 120Hz refresh rate, enhancing the viewing experience for streaming and general navigation.
For optics, the Tecno Spark 50s 5G is rumoured to feature a 50MP primary rear camera, capable of capturing detailed photographs, complemented by an 8MP front camera for selfies and video calls. Powering the device is a substantial 6500 mAh Li-Polymer battery, supported by 45W Quick Charging technology via a USB Type-C port, promising extended usage and faster recharges. The phone is also expected to run on Android 16-based HiOS 16 and might include features like a fingerprint sensor and stereo speakers.
