Clifton Man Offers USD 400 to Minor for S*x Acts at Park, Arrested
Stanley Pavlacky, 69, was arrested in Clifton for allegedly offering a minor USD 400 for s*xual acts at a park. After fleeing, deputies tracked him down using a license plate number. He faces a felony charge and is held on a USD 10,000 bond. Pavlacky claimed he only engaged the victim to talk about fishing and alleged that the victim had robbed him.
A 69-year-old Clifton man was arrested on Thursday, September 3, following an incident at a local park where he allegedly propositioned a minor for s*xual acts. According to the arrest affidavit, the young victim was fishing in Clifton Nature Park when Stanley Pavlacky approached them and began talking about fishing. The victim spoke with Pavlacky briefly before moving further down the road in an attempt to get him to leave.
The victim stated that Pavlacky continued to follow them to the west side of the park, where he allegedly offered USD 400 in cash for fellatio, reports the Mesa County Sheriff’s Office. When the victim yelled and stated they were underage, Pavlacky allegedly replied that the interaction was "OK" and claimed he was only 22 years old. Arrest and Investigation
The victim informed Pavlacky that authorities would be called, prompting him to leave the area. As he departed, Pavlacky left behind the USD 400, which the victim collected and later turned over to law enforcement. Using the license plate number provided by the victim, deputies located Pavlacky at his residence on Swan Meadows Drive, roughly a six-minute drive from the park. When contacted by authorities, Pavlacky claimed he only engaged the victim to talk about fishing and alleged that the victim had robbed him of the USD 400. Law enforcement noted that Pavlacky changed his statement several times during questioning. Probable cause was established, and he was arrested and booked into the Mesa County Detention Facility on a felony charge of soliciting for child prostitution. Pavlacky is currently held on a USD 10,000 cash bond, and his initial court appearance is scheduled for September 26.
