According to Al Jazeera, Mohsen Rezaei, secretary of Iran's Supreme National Security Council, said Qatar had conveyed Tehran's conditions to Washington and Iran was awaiting US President Donald Trump's response. Rezaei said the demands included an end to the war on all fronts, the release of frozen Iranian funds and an end to the naval blockade.
In a separate post on X, Rezaei said Iran had announced seven conditions for starting negotiations with Washington and urged the US to accept what Tehran described as its rights and conditions.

Rezaei did not publicly list all seven conditions in his remarks cited by Al Jazeera. However, he identified key demands including an end to the war on all fronts, the release of frozen Iranian funds and an end to the naval blockade.
He also warned that Iran was prepared for a 'decisive war' if Washington rejected its demands. Rezaei said Trump's threats would not achieve results and claimed Iran had altered its military planning following earlier rounds of fighting. Qatar and Pakistan have reportedly been working to re-establish negotiations between Tehran and Washington. Regional countries have also been pushing for an end to the conflict, which began after US and Israeli strikes against Iran in late February.
Rezaei said Tehran continued to pursue an end to the conflict but warned that another US strike remained possible based on Iranian military assessments. He said Iran was prepared to target US bases in the region as well as American commercial interests and companies operating locally in the event of further escalation. On Iran's nuclear programme, Rezaei said Tehran had not decided to withdraw from the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty, although he warned that US actions could push Iran towards such a move. He also said Iran's nuclear doctrine remained unchanged.
Meanwhile, according to the Anadolu News Agency, the US State Department issued visas to Iran's delegation to attend the UN General Assembly High-Level Week in New York, being held from September 18 to September 28.
