According to an affidavit filed in Eaton Municipal Court, the 12-year-old girl said she was with a friend on Rose Boulevard when Cook began talking to them. He reportedly invited the two children to his home before telling the girl’s friend to leave.
Once the friend left, he exposed his genitals to her and said he was “going to give her all of his coins,” court documents said. “He made further statements (that) indicated he wanted to exchange items for s*x acts,” the affidavit said. The girl fled, told her friend what had happened and then told her mother. When he was arrested, Cook reportedly admitted to exposing himself to the girl, court records said.
Cook was charged in connection with the allegations and later indicted in Preble County Common Pleas Court. The indictment adds the case to the local court docket ahead of his scheduled July 8 arraignment.
At the time of writing, Cook is in the Preble County Jail, where he has been since his arrest on June 24, according to the jail website.
