Surveillance Captures Encounter in Store Aisles
According to the arrest report filed by deputies, a 43-year-old woman was shopping inside the store at approximately 3:30 PM when she observed a young male in a black sweatshirt and grey sweatpants following her through multiple aisles. "He displayed behavior she deemed odd and appeared to have his hands placed inside his pants around the genital area,” deputies noted in the report. Store surveillance footage later captured the woman kneeling to examine items on a bottom shelf with her back turned. According to investigators, the male approached her from behind, exposed himself, and committed the act before exiting the premises at a rapid pace. Investigation and Subsequent Arrest
Upon standing up, the victim noticed an unknown liquid on her clothing and immediately notified store employees, who contacted law enforcement. Laboratory and investigative findings subsequently identified the substance as semen. Investigators utilised store surveillance footage and additional investigative techniques to identify Watson as the primary suspect. Deputies took him into custody the following day. Watson is currently being held at the Escambia County Jail on a USD 10,000 bond, with a scheduled court appearance set for August 31.
