Wes Henderson, co-founder of the Angel's Envy whiskey brand, Kentucky Bourbon Hall of Fame inductee and owner of the Kentucky Castle hotel in Versailles, is facing a civil lawsuit filed by family members who allege he used hidden cameras to secretly record around 40 people without their consent. The complaint, first filed in Oldham County, Kentucky, claims the recordings were made across several locations, including his private homes and the Kentucky Castle hotel. The plaintiffs claim the memory cards and footage they recovered show people undressing, using the restroom and being intimate. The complaint further claims there is footage of Henderson himself with other women. Florida Therapist Has Secret S*xual Relationship With Patient, Arrested.
Charges Listed In The Civil Complaint
The suit lists counts of voyeurism, invasion of privacy, and viewing or possessing depictions of a minor in a s*xual performance. The last count relates to bathroom footage that allegedly features an unidentified person who appeared to be a minor.
The plaintiffs also allege that Henderson sent multiple text messages over an 11-month period after being confronted, apologizing and asking for forgiveness.
Police Role And Damages Sought
The plaintiffs say they handed the recovered equipment and digital recordings to law enforcement. Local agencies, however, indicated they were not actively involved in the civil case. The family is seeking punitive damages, compensation for pain and suffering and medical expenses, and has demanded a jury trial.
