Plea Deal and Court Resolution

York was booked into the Columbiana County Jail before posting a $5,000 bond. During a court appearance in Columbiana County Municipal Court on Monday, prosecutors downgraded the primary charge of engaging in prostitution to misdemeanor disorderly conduct.

York pleaded no contest to the amended disorderly conduct charge as well as a misdemeanor charge of possessing criminal tools, which pertained to the mobile phone used in the exchange. A judge ordered York to pay $1,150 in fines and court costs, while forfeiting the $160 seized during his arrest to the task force. He received credit for time already served, resolving his immediate jail sentence requirement. York's legal counsel has since requested an expungement of the records.
