On March 24, voting for 109 urban civic body elections for three Municipal Corporations – Bhubaneshwar, Cuttack & Berhampur, besides 47 municipalities began in Odisha, reported ANI. 205 platoons of police have been deployed for the polling that began at 8 am and will continue till 5 pm, reported PTI. Nearly 40.55 lakh voters are eligible to cast their votes, State Election Commissioner AP Padhi said. Reportedly, 6,411 candidates are in the fray. In the three municipal corporations- Bhubaneswar, Cuttack and Berhampur, total 168 wards will go to the polls and 1,407 booths have been set up, reported PTI. Watch the video to know more.
