Bigg Boss 17 winner Munawar Faruqui faced legal troubles in 2021 when he was arrested for allegedly making controversial comments about Lord Ram during a stand-up comedy performance in Indore. Following a complaint filed by Eklavya Singh Gaur, the son of local BJP MLA Malini Laxman Singh Gaur, Munawar was sent to jail, only to secure bail a month later. A recent development reveals that the police have requested the state government's permission to file a chargesheet against Munawar in connection with the same case. Reportedly, this will be filed under Indian Penal Code section 295-A.
