On April 26, Drugs Controller General of India (DCGI) gave emergency use authorisation to Bharat Biotech's Covaxin for children between the age group of 6-12. This comes amid rising cases of Covid-19 in schools. Corbevax has also been granted emergency use authorisation by DCGI. Corbevax can now be administered to children between the age of 5-12 years. ZycovD, Zydus Cadila's vaccine, has also been approved for kids above the age of 12 years for a two-dose regimen. Union Health Minister Mansukh Mandaviya tweeted saying that India's fight against Covid-19 has become stronger with the recent approvals. Watch the video to know more.
