Diwali 2020, the festival of lights, celebrated with great pomp and fervour is here! The five-day Deepavali festival will kick off on November 12. It will be followed by Dhanteras, which is considered as the first day of Diwali in many parts of the country. Next comes Choti Diwali and Main Diwali with Laxmi Puja. It is followed by Govardhan Puja or Annakut Puja and Balipratipada. Then comes Bhai Dooj, Gujarati New Year and Vishwakarma Puja. Goddess Lakshmi is worshipped during Diwali Puja. Celebrations this year will be hit due to the coronavirus outbreak with many states banning the burning of firecrackers.
