On September 30, Dubai opened Expo 2020 in a lavish ceremony. The glittering ceremony was attended by Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum and several other dignitaries. H.H. Sheikh Hamdan Bin Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince Of Dubai tweeted, “The world gathers in Dubai.” Maktoum Bin Mohammed, Deputy Ruler of Dubai, tweeted, “Dubai, the world's metropolis ,welcomes its visitors at Expo 2020.” Latifa bint Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Chairperson, Dubai culture tweeted, “We are proud of our history, culture & heritage & we offer the world through Expo 2020.” As per Khaleej Times, the USD 7 billion Expo 2020’s star-studded opening ceremony was streamed live to more than 430 locations across the UAE.
