The wife of the UP man who held 23 children hostage has died of injuries after she was attacked with stones by neighbours. The man, identified as Subhash Batham had been shot dead by the police last night after over 8-hour standoff in Farrukhabad. All the 23 children are safe. On Thursday, Batham had invited kids from the village to celebrate his daughter’s birthday. Once the children were in, Batham locked the doors held everyone at gunpoint. When the children were not back for a while, neighbor knocked Batham’s door realizing that something was wrong. After hours of negotiations, the police stormed the house and Batham was shot dead.
