Karnataka Announces Weekend Curfew, As Covid-19 Cases Double Every Two Days

The state administration in Karnataka announced that the state would impose weekend curfew as Covid-19 cases have surged in recent days. The southern state recorded 2,053 cases on January 4, 2021 – a doubling of cases every two-three days. The weekend curfew will be in place from January 07 from 10 pm onwards until 5am on Monday, January 10.
