On May 18, Karnataka Governor Thaawarchand Gehlot invited Chief Minister-designate Siddaramaiah to take oath on May 20. He also invited DK Shivakumar to take oath as the Deputy Chief Minister of the state. The oath ceremony will take place at 12.30 pm on May 20 in Kanteerava Stadium, Bengaluru. A Congress delegation, including Siddaramaiah and Shivakumar, met the Governor at Raj Bhavan to stake claim to form the government, reported ANI. Congress won 135 seats of the 224 assembly seats in Karnataka. BJP won just 66 seats and JDS 19 seats. Watch the video to know more.
