Hindu priest, Mahant Narendra Giri, who headed the Akhil Bhartiya Akhara Parishad (ABAP) was found dead in Prayagraj on Monday evening. According to initial reports, Giri's body was found hanging from a rope inside a room in the Baghambari Mutt in Daraganj area. Later in the evening, a former disciple of the Mahant was taken into custody for allegedly abetting Giri’s suicide.
