Ravi Rana, MLA And His Wife Charged With Sedition In Maharashtra

On April 24, a Mumbai court rejected the city police's demand for the custody of independent MP Navneet Rana & her MLA husband Ravi Rana, reported PTI. The court remanded the couple in 14-day judicial custody, reported PTI. Amravati MP Navneet Rana was sent to the Byculla women's jail. Badnera MLA Ravi Rana was taken to Taloja jail in neighbouring Navi Mumbai. On April 23 evening, the Mumbai police arrested Ravi Rana and his wife Navneet Rana for allegedly creating enmity between different groups, reported PTI. This came hours after Ravi Rana and his wife cancelled their plan to recite the Hanuman Chalisa outside Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray's residence Matoshree.
