The death toll in the Wayanad landslide tragedy mounted to 159 on Wednesday, July 31. Multiple rescue teams are racing against time to find survivors as nearly 100 people are still missing. Meanwhile, many parts of Kerala continue to witness heavy rainfall. Subsequently, a holiday has been announced in schools in all districts except for Thiruvananthapuram.
