Abu Dhabi, August 16: To mark India's 73rd Independence day, Dubai's Burj Khalifa was lit up with the colours of the Indian flag on Friday. The Tricolour was displayed on the world's tallest building at 8:44 pm. On Thursday, August 15, the tricolour was not displayed in the building following a technical snag. Terming it as a sign of friendship, All India Radio tweeted a video of Indian flag showcasing on Bhuj Khalifa. "We have just learned from our friends in Emaar that on account of a major technical snag they won't be able to light up Burj Khalifa with the Indian tricolour tonight," the Indian ambassador to the United Arab Emirates (UAE), Navdeep Singh Suri, tweeted on Thursday.
