A giant golden statue of US President Donald Trump has been put on display inside the European Parliament building in Strasbourg, France. Titled ‘Orange Plague’, the 8.5-foot sculpture by Danish artist Jens Galschiot depicts Trump naked while holding a set of justice scales and a long golf club, with a golf ball designed to resemble the world.
Covered in 23-carat gold leaf, the artwork shows Trump sitting on the shoulders of a smaller, clothed man who appears to be struggling under his weight. The installation has also been described as the ‘King of Injustice’.
According to a report by The Telegraph, the statue was installed at a busy intersection connecting two European Parliament buildings in Strasbourg and was scheduled to remain on display until Thursday.
Donald Trump’s Giant Golden Statue ‘Orange Plague’ Goes on Display at European Parliament in Strasbourg
A gold statue depicting a naked US President Donald Trump standing on the shoulders of another man has been unveiled in Strasbourg.
Standing more than eight feet tall, the sculpture is titled The Orange Plague or The King of Injustice and was created by Danish artist Jens Galschiøt.
Covered in 23-carat gold leaf, the statue is currently displayed at the European Parliament in the French city of Strasbourg.
The nude figure holds an unusually long golf club in one hand and a small set of scales in the other, while a globe-like golf ball sits on the ground in front of him.
The man carrying Trump on his shoulders appears exhausted and visibly strained under the weight.
A card beside the sculpture, signed The King of Injustice, reads: “I am sitting on the back of a man. He is sinking under my burden. I would do anything to help him. Except stepping down from his back.”

Why Is the Golden Trump Statue Called ‘Orange Plague’?
Galschiot said the sculpture represents what he considers a threat to the rules-based international order, democratic values and efforts to address the climate crisis. The artist said the installation aims to encourage people to stand together against what he views as a destructive influence. A message inscribed on the statue's plinth reads: ‘I am sitting on the back of a man. He is sinking under my burden. I will do anything to help him. Except stepping down from his back.’
The sculpture draws inspiration from Hans Christian Andersen's fairy tale ‘The Emperor's New Clothes’. The story features a vain ruler who believes he is wearing magnificent clothes when he is actually naked. Those around him remain silent until a child exposes the truth, leaving the emperor open to ridicule. Why Did Donald Trump Gift Xi Jinping a 3-Foot Bald Eagle Statue? Here’s What It Symbolises.
Galschiot said the gold coating on the sculpture ‘merely makes his nakedness shine brighter’, according to the artist's website.
Artist Plans To Distribute 10,000 Miniature Trump Statues
The artist has also produced miniature versions of ‘Orange Plague’, which are intended to serve as protest symbols. Galschiot said the small sculptures could be used as mascots and as a call to action against Trump's influence.
In a post on X, the artist said he planned to distribute 10,000 miniature versions. Images shared by Galschiot showed the sculptures in different colours, including grey, pink, blue and green. He has also made files available online so people can 3D-print their own versions.
‘Orange Plague’ Statue Previously Displayed at COP30
The artwork has previously been exhibited at the COP30 climate conference in Brazil and was later featured at the Munich Security Conference in Germany in 2026.
It is not the first golden statue depicting Trump. In April 2026, a 15-foot sculpture titled ‘Don Colossus’ was unveiled at his Miami golf course. Unlike ‘Orange Plague’, that statue depicts Trump fully clothed.
Trump has also announced plans to install two giant golden statues of himself at his presidential library in Miami.
