New Delhi (India), Apr 16 (ANI): The Congress has fielded Acharya Pramod Krishnam from Lucknow against Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh. The party on Tuesday came out with a fresh list of candidates for three Lok Sabha constituencies.With this, the Congress has declared candidates on 407 out of 543 Parliamentary Constituencies.Poonam Sinha, wife of actor-politician Shatrughan Sinha, who on Tuesday, joined the Samajwadi Party (SP), will be the SP-BSP-RLD candidate from Lucknow seat.The party has fielded Pankaj Sanghvi from Indore in Madhya Pradesh and Vinay Kumar Pandey from Kaiserganj in Uttar Pradesh.The SP, BSP and RLD are contesting Lok Sabha polls in alliance in Uttar Pradesh. The SP will contest on 37 seats, BSP on 38 and RLD on three.The alliance has left two seats, Rae Bareli and Amethi, for the Congress.Lok Sabha elections in Uttar Pradesh are being held in all seven phases. The second phase of elections is on April 18 and counting of votes for all phases will take place on May 23. (ANI)
