New Delhi, Apr 11 (PTI) Prices of copper and nickel slipped by Rs 2 per kg at the non-ferrous metal market today owing to slackened demand amid a weak trend overseas.
Traders attributed the slide in copper and nickel prices to tepid demand from consuming industries at domestic spot market and a weak trend overseas.
Globally, copper for delivery in three-month fell 0.3 per cent to USD 6,926.00 per metric tonne on the London Metal Exchange.
In the national capital, Copper mixed scrap and nickel plate (4x4) eased by Rs 2 each to Rs 420 and Rs 825-830 per kg, respectively.
Following are today's metal rates (in Rs per kg):
Zinc ingot Rs 126-132, nickel plate (4x4) Rs 825-830, gun metal scrap Rs 227, bell metal scrap Rs 229, copper mixed scrap Rs 420, chadri deshi Rs 295.
Lead ingot Rs 123, lead imported Rs 130, aluminium ingots Rs 161, aluminium sheet cutting Rs 157, aluminium wire scrap Rs 157 and aluminium utensils scrap Rs 155.
